choc oats with protein and frozen berries

Georgia's Choc Protein Oats

Choc Protein Oats

Recently, I’ve started adding Protein Powder into my oats, because I’m finding (especially after training) that even 1 cup of oats, with toppings doesn’t really fill me up. So, I add a scoop of Protein Powder, to help curb my hunger throughout the morning.

Ingredients:

I have always cooked my oats on the stove top, but there is the option of the microwave as well.

Stove Top Method:

1. Simply add double the amount of liquid to the amount of oats to a small saucepan, (e.g. ½ cup oats = 1 cup water), and allow to cook on a low heat 2. When the liquid is almost evaporated, and your oats are cooked, stir through your powders. (You may need to add a bit more water if needed). 3. Transfer oats to a bowl and top with blueberries.

Microwave Method:

1. Simply add double the amount of liquid to the amount of oats to a large bowl (so it doesn’t overfill), and microwave for 1 minute. 2. Stir the oats after 1 minute, and microwave again for another minute. Make sure you watch them to ensure they don’t overflow (hence why you need a big container) 3. Add in the powders (and more liquid if necessary) 4. Top with frozen berries. TIP: Peanut Butter and Chocolate is one of my all time favourite combinations, so feel free to add a scoop of Natural Peanut Butter on top
